In a pivotal side event in Geneva, representatives from Iran and Cuba addressed the detrimental effects of U.S. sanctions on advancing biological sciences during the Fourth Meeting of the Working Group to Strengthen the Biological Weapons Convention (BTWC). The session focused on how these illegal and unilateral measures hinder countries' access to essential biological technologies and scientific collaboration.
