This course has been scheduled and coordinated following the completion of the training held for the country of Mali. This course is part of ongoing interactions and negotiations between Dr. Mojtaba Khayam Nekouei, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture-Jahad and Head of the Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension Organization (AREEO), and high-ranking officials from the country of Uzbekistan aimed at familiarizing the Uzbekistan trainee with production methods of vaccines and biological materials, including the separation of pathogens, identification, diagnosing, preparation of vaccine seeds, production, and quality control measures.
Dr. Najmeh Motamed, a faculty member of Razi Institute, will attend this course as a supervisor, and an Uzbek trainee will visit from various research, quality assurance, and production departments of Razi Institute during his one-month stay at the institute and the necessary training will be provided to him by the faculty members and researchers of the Razi Institute.
She added that holding this course will serve as a means of strengthening relationships between Iran and Uzbekistan. Dr. Moradi noted that the primary objective behind holding these training courses is to take advantage of this opportunity to develop relations between the two countries, which could lead to the export of Razi Institute's products and, possibly in the future, the transfer of technology and technical know-how to Uzbekistan.
The deputy of Research and Technology of Razi Institute also noted that this training course will be held in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Research, Education, and Technology Office at Razi Institute and that negotiations have also been held with several other African countries for the holding of similar courses.
On Monday, October 2, 2023, eight Uzbek experts and trainees visited the Razi Institute. They were briefed on the products, equipment, laboratory animals, and journals of the Razi Institute, from the early days until now during their visit to the Museum of Razi Institute.
