According to the Public Relations report of Razi Institute, a team of officials and experts from the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education visited Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute on 2nd of August, 2022 with the aim of expanding cooperation and examining the capabilities of this institute in the field of polio vaccine production, they also discussed with the board of directors and managers of the Razi Institute following up on requests and support of the World Health Organization to RVSRI, they also visited different parts of the institute.
In this meeting, Dr. Ali Es-haghi, Director General of  Razi Institute, referring to the importance of the relations between the Razi Institute and the World Health Organization, said: Considering the type of activities of the Razi Institute, the need to expand interactions and cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO),  is very important and  we appreciate the colleagues of the Ministry of Health for their support in holding this meeting.
In this meeting, which was held under the initiative of the international affairs office of Razi Institute, the specialized and technical capabilities of Razi Institute in the production of polio vaccine; eradication of this disease using institute vaccines; polio vaccine production at Razi Institute based on the demand of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education; the needs of the production department of medical viral vaccines were noticed.
This delegation, along with the officials of Razi Institute, visited the Museum and the Department of Venomous Animals of the Razi institute.
