The second meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairsʹ Economic Diplomacy Deputy with relevant institutions, companies and trade unions in the field of medicine and medical equipment
A meeting was held to investigate the obstacles and solutions to the production and export of medicine and medical equipment with the aim of implementing the country's macro policies in developing export opportunities and removing obstacles and problems in this field.
According to the Public Relations report of Razi institute, this meeting was held with the presence of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the national Food and Drug Administration, the Trade Development Organization and the Vice President for Science and Technology, Razi institute and trade unions and organizations active in the field of medicine and medical equipment in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this meeting, Dr. Safari, the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained the opportunities and capacities available in the field of export of drug, medical equipment and technology to various Asian, African and European countries and said that possibilities for drug export to different countries, especially Africa has been provided, the private and public sectors have to promote exports in this field. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through various offices and embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad, is at the service of the development of foreign trade with all its power and capacity, especially in the field of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment; the result of these efforts was the increase in the export of pharmaceutical items and medical equipment to various countries in the Middle East, Latin America, Central and Southeast Asia, and Africa during the past year.
Also, heads of syndicates and CEOs of companies and owners of human medicine industries, nanotech drugs, producers of complementary medicines, producers of medical equipment and pharmaceutical and chemical raw materials raised the most important obstacles and challenges faced by exporters in this field.
Dr. Morteza Akbarian, the directorate in-charge and Dr. Rainak Ghadri, head of international relations of Razi institute, while appreciating the efforts of the economic deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the presence of economic experts in Razi Institute, mentioned that opportunity as a new chapter of communication between Razi institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
