According to the  Public Relations report of Razi institute, Dr. Ali Shirazinejad, announcing the production of Ornithobacterium rhinotracheal vaccine for the first time in the country. He said the production of this vaccine had started in 2013 in Razi institute, the southern branch of the country - Shiraz, at semi-industrial level based on the letter of the veterinary organization of the country (IVO) regarding the lack of the said vaccine in the country.
He added: After monitoring the disease, the manufacturing of first series of ORT vaccine in accordance with GMP (good manufacturing practice) requirements was made at the site of bacterial animal vaccines of Razi institute, Shiraz branch in 2022.
Dr. Shirazinejad, further stating that Razi institute being in charge of livestock and poultry research in the country and this issue further highlights the importance of its relationship with the  IVO in the control of livestock diseases, he said: Razi institute as one of the active centers in the field of biologicals has a very important role in maintaining the country's health chain. He added: The Ministry of Health and the Veterinary Organization, as the health policy makers of the country and main clients of the institute have a very fundamental effect in maintaining this chain too.
The scientists and researchers of the Shiraz branch by conducting numerous round-the-clock research activities in the field of livestock, poultry and aquatic diseases tried to carry out R & D on Ornithobacterium rhinotracheal vaccine to improve the quality and quantity of this vaccine and meet the needs of the country.
