According to the report of the International Office of Razi Institute, in a meeting attended by Dr. Mojtaba Khayam Nekouei, Deputy Minister and president of Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO) and Dr. Ali Es-haghi, Director General of Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute on Saturday 6 August, 2023 in AREEO, the report of foreign missions of Razi Institute in 2022 was presented.
In this meeting, Dr. Hossein Jafari, Vice President of Research and Technology, Dr. Abdollah Mokhber Dezfuli, Vice President of Planning and Economic Affairs, Mr. Karim Ahmadi Soumeh, Vice President of Management and Resource Development, Dr. Tooraj Valinassab, Director General of Academic Relations & International Affairs of the AREEO and Dr. Rianak Ghaderi, Head of International Relations of Razi Institute, were present.
Referring to the strategic plans in the field of international cooperation and the 4-year long-term plan, Dr. Ali Es-haghi stated that the foreign missions of Razi Institute are carried out with the goals of developing self-sufficiency in the production of vaccines and other imported biological products, product development (R& D), market development, training of human resources for the production of existing vaccines and biological products, as well as training for the development of new vaccine production technologies, branding at national and international level, development and renovation of biological production lines and quality control and research laboratories.
Dr. Mojtaba Khayam Nekouei announced four strategies in the international cooperation: conquering global markets, strengthening the infrastructure of Razi Institute, exchanging technology and qualifying the human resources. He also emphasized on strengthening the relationship with the World Health Organization, identifying relevant companies in the field of biological production and establishing joint production with Malaysia and Oman in the field of international cooperation.
