According to the Public Relations report of the Razi Institute, Dr. Gholam Reza Hanifi, Deputy for Finance & Human Resources, on the third day of the 22nd International Exhibition of Livestock, Poultry and Related Industries said: Razi Institute was founded in 1924 with the aim of controlling rinderpest and other diseases of livestock and poultry diseases and now produces more than 80 biologicals.

Dr. Gholam Reza Hanifi announced that with the high-tech equipped recombinant vaccine manufacturing building, the plan of the institute is to enter into the production of the fourth generation of vaccines based on recombinant.

 He added: "As for the compulsory vaccines for children, seven out of nine are produced in Razi Institute, which plays a very important role in the health of the community. According to Dr. Hanifi, exporting anti-snake and anti-scorpion serums to other countries like Iraq is a very important issue and Razi Institute export markets are countries of Pakistan, Syria and Persian Gulf countries. Having 6 branches in other provinces including Ahvaz, Shiraz, Kerman, Mashhad, Marand and Arak enables Razi Institute to play a very important role in Iran's health issues.

He also mentioned the production of Ornithobacterium tracheal (ORT) vaccine for poultry diseases in the Shiraz branch of Razi Institute and recalled: This vaccine was previously supplied from abroad, however, with Razi Institute's researchers acquiring the technical knowledge to make it, while meeting domestic needs, we have no need to import this vaccine.

Dr. Hanifi called human power the main asset of Razi Institute and stated: the activity of this institute for about a century is the result of the efforts of all the employees of Razi Institute since its establishment until today and by the Grace of God these efforts are ongoing.
