Razi Institute organized a training course for the African country of Mauritania, on November 11 to 22, 2023. The course covered key areas of Research & Diagnosis, Production, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance. The opening ceremony for the training course was held in Kaveh Hall with a visit to the Museum of RVSRI.

Dr. Razieh Heidari, expert in System Development and Documentation Audit Management, was appointed to chaperone the training course. She stated that this two-week workshop was a part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Iran and African countries, particularly in the area of technology transfer. Negotiations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African countries have resulted in this collaborative endeavor.

The training schedule for these trainees included the following topics:

•    Overview of poultry microbial diseases/ epidemiology & diagnosis 
•    Overview of livestock bacterial diseases epidemiology & diagnosis stem 
•    An overview of human viral vaccines manufacturing
•    An overview of clostridial vaccines manufacturing
•    An overview of brucellosis vaccines manufacturing
•    An overview of theileriosis vaccine manufacturing
•    An overview of SPP and GTP vaccines manufacturing
•    An overview of PPR vaccine manufacturing
•    Mycoplasma test of biological products
•    Quality control of poultry viral vaccines
•    An overview of FMD vaccine manufacturing
•    An Introduction on basics and methods of sterilization
•    An overview of Pasteurellosis vaccine manufacturing
•    An overview of live poultry vaccines manufacturing
•    An overview of inactivated poultry vaccines manufacturing
•    An overview of infectious bronchitis vaccines manufacturing
•    Introduction of quality control in RVSRI
•    Quality control of products in laboratory animals
•    Physicochemical tests of biological products
•    Quality Assurance in vaccine manufacturing
•    Sterility test of biological products
•    Quality control of bacterial vaccines
•    Validation & verification in quality control tests

The training course concludes on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Furthermore, Razi Institute has held similar courses for trainees from Mali and Uzbekistan.
