Enhancing the
Razi Institute's global reputation among WOAH members, identifying strengths
and weaknesses within the Razi Institute and WOAH Reference Centers, and
discovering innovative strategies to meet WOAH's established criteria were key
objectives for participating in this event.
In this event
Dr. Ebrahimi jam had some meetings and negotiation with some of key figures
including Dr. Hirofumi Kugita the WOAH regional representative for Asia and the
Pacific, the head of Equine Influenza WOAH reference lab in Japan, the head of
Avian Influenza WOAH reference lab in Japan, the head of theilerioses WOAH
reference lab for Asia and Pacific in China, and the Glanders reference
laboratory. These negotiations brought up many fruitful outputs for both parties
resulting in having more interactions through networks of Collaborations
centers(CC).
The event
spanned four days, with the initial three days focusing on the "Regional
Seminar for WOAH National Focal Points for Veterinary Laboratories, while the
fourth day centered around the "4th Regional Meeting for WOAH Reference
Centers (RC) in Asia and the Pacific.
