On Monday, July 22, 2024, the Bureau of International Affairs and Specialized Organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture-Jahad hosted a meeting with a delegation from Algeria at the Ministry of Agriculture-Jahad headquarters building.

This gathering was organized in collaboration with the Academic Relations and International Affairs division of the Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension Organization (AREEO).

The main objective of the meeting was to assess export opportunities to Algeria and to discuss potential technology transfer initiatives. The Algerian delegation needs to provide a written outline of their requests and demands to the Ministry of Agriculture. In response, AREEO, together with the Bureau of Academic Relations and International Affairs and the Algeria desk, is committed to promptly addressing these requests to enhance mutual commercial, research, and technological cooperation.

These organizations are encouraged to submit their suggestions for consideration by the Algerian officials.

Key participants in the event included Dr. Ebrahimi, Dr. Rainak Ghaderi, head of Academic Relations and International Affairs at Razi Institute, and experts and officials from multiple departments, such as the Deputy of Water and Soil, Deputy of Horticultural Affairs, Plant Protection Organization, Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization, Deputy of Agronomy, and Deputy of Livestock.

Additionally, several key figures participated online, including experts from Iran’s Veterinary Organization (IVO), representatives from Iran’s embassy in Algeria, and officials from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
