Razi Institute was represented by
Ali Dr. Es-haghi, Director General, and Dr. Seyed Reza Banihashemi, Director R&D
Department.
The meeting's agenda was packed
with critical discussions aimed at addressing pressing challenges in vaccine
accessibility. The first day featured the DCVMN General Assembly, exclusively
for members. The second day discussed crucial topics such as regulatory
harmonization and clinical development, which are essential for ensuring timely
access to vaccines in Low-Income Countries (LICs) and Lower-Middle-Income
Countries (LMICs). Additionally, discussions on innovations in financial
mechanisms aimed at influencing universal coverage were a focal point.
On the third day, attendees
engaged in special sessions covering the mRNA Tech-Transfer Program and
Africa's manufacturing capacity mapping for 2024. The impact of climate change
and the importance of environmental sustainability and achieving net-zero
emissions were also key themes.
In a strategic move to strengthen
partnerships, Razi Institute held a meeting with representatives from CanSinoBio,
a prominent vaccine manufacturer, on the sidelines of the event. This
collaboration underscores the institute's dedication to enhancing vaccine
production capabilities and addressing global health challenges.
