Nikbakht praised Razi Institute for its efforts in producing various types of vaccines and its state-of-the-art techniques, and expressed that the production of recombinant vaccines would have a huge impact on national and international health challenges.
The Minister of Agriculture-Jahad also noted that the Razi Institute aims to prepare all kinds of vaccines needed by the country by relying on the strengths and expertise of domestic specialists and scientists. This will help to further develop the industry in the country needs in the fields of recombinant and new generation vaccines.
The Research, Development, and Production building for recombinant vaccines and new generation adjuvants at Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute used high-tech, the latest advanced and cutting-edge technologies of the vaccine industry.
It is worth noting that Razi Institute has been serving the country for over 100 years since 1925. During its century of activity, it has distinguished itself as the leader of the country’s vaccine industry by producing more than 80 types of vaccines and biological products and satisfying the country's major needs for these products. Razi Institute produces more than 80% of medical vaccines, 90% of livestock vaccines, and more than 32% of poultry vaccines.
Razi Institute also achieved a unique distinction during the Covid-19 crisis by creating the world's first Intranasal-Intramuscular vaccine, Razi Cov pars, after successfully completing three stages of clinical trials and the highest number of participating volunteers.
