On Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, the Razi Institute delegation, attending the 48th SABASABA Expo, organized a meeting with Dr. Adam Mitangu Fimbo, the Director General of the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA). During this session, representatives from Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute provided a detailed overview of the institute's rich history and activities, complemented by a promotional video showcasing Razi's impactful contributions.
A delegation from the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute attended the "Iran Day" ceremony at the SabaSaba Exhibition in Tanzania on July 8, 2024. During their visit to Tanzania, the delegation explored export opportunities to the country and engaged in discussions with stakeholders in the vaccine and biologics field.
During a one-day veterinary seminar held in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Razi Institute, Dr. Mojtaba Norouzi, president of the Iran Veterinary Organization, pointed to the pivotal role played by the Razi Institute in safeguarding the health and well-being of approximately 17 million tons of poultry and aquatic products. He attributed the creditable achievement of ensuring sustainability in production and upholding food safety standards to the efforts of researchers and the vaccines developed by the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute.
Dr. Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfouli, the head of the Iranian Academy of Sciences, emphasized the global significance of Razi Institute's centennial milestone during the third pre-session event. He called for active participation worldwide from the medical and veterinary sectors to honor the institute's remarkable legacy.
In a virtual event on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 the Razi Institute hosted a videoconference with a regional expert from the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH).
During a one-day veterinary seminar held at the Academy of Sciences which also was the third preparatory for the 100th anniversary of Razi Institute, Dr. Ali Es-haghi, the director general of Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, emphasized the significance of supporting the Razi Institute as a national treasure and insisted on the necessity to cost-effective manufacture methods and revitalizing international collaborations in research to elevate the Razi Institute's global standing.
During the third pre-meeting commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Razi Institute, Dr. Mojtaba Khayam Nekouei, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture-Jahad and Head of the Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension Organization, emphasized the institute's pivotal role in becoming the national center for biological innovation. The event, attended by prominent officials, scholars, pioneers, and veterinarians, highlighted the efforts to leverage academic sciences towards technological advancement, product development, and commercialization to boost national wealth and tackle significant challenges.
A delegation from Uzbekistan recently visited the Shiraz branch of the Razi Vaccine and Serum Institute to explore capabilities and strengthen scientific collaborations. The 10-member team from the Fisheries Department of Uzbekistan engaged in discussions and tours during their visit, meeting with Dr. Ali Shirazi Nezhad, the head of the Shiraz branch, Mr. Abolfazl Maarefvand, the commercial director of Razi Institute, and representatives from Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine, and the Jahad-Agriculture Organization of Fars province.
In line with the collaboration between the Iran Veterinary Organization and the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, during the 91st general session of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Dr. Mojtaba Norouzi, the head of the Veterinary Organization of Iran, accompanied by Dr. Davood Soleimani, chief consultant for International Affairs of the IVO, showcased the capabilities and expertise of Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute (RVSRI) in exporting products and technology transfer during a meeting with a delegation from Armenia.
At the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture, a member of the scientific faculty of Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute visited vaccine production centers and the Academy of Sciences in China.
The Mauritanian government issued certificates of appreciation to Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute, and the WOAH Sheep and Goat Pox Reference Laboratory housed within Razi Institute. This appreciation recognized the exceptional training courses conducted by Razi Institute for the Mauritanian team of experts in November 10th to November 24th, 2023.
The Malian government has recently praised the Razi Institute and the WOAH Sheep and Goat Pox Reference Laboratory housed within the institute, for their exceptional training programs. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to recognize the institutes' commitment to education and innovation in veterinary medicine.
To show diplomatic appreciation, the Government of Senegal has officially dispatched an endorsement letter to Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute, commending the outstanding contribution of Razi in hosting an informative training course for a delegation from Senegal on February 26 to March 3, 2024.

Dr. Mohammad Omidi Fard the Head of the Bureau of International Agreements at the Vice -presidency for legal affairs lauded the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute as a highly proficient organization, emphasizing that understanding Africa's needs and enhancing competitiveness are crucial elements for the Razi Institute to achieve its export objectives in trade with the continent.
On the third day of the Iran-Africa Expo, the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade made a visit to Razi Research Institute's booth, where vaccine and serum products were displayed for potential export.
