The public relations office of Razi Institute reported that on May 26th at the Tehran International Fairgrounds, African delegations expressed interest in establishing bilateral relations and fostering cooperation with Razi Institute for the utilization of medical and veterinary vaccines and products in their respective countries.

Dr. Ali Es-haghi, the Director-General of Razi Institute, elaborated on the objectives of his recent trip to Iraq, highlighting the efforts of the Razi Institute's experts in venom extraction from local snake species. Dr. Es-haghi emphasized Razi Institute's distinguished status as the oldest center in the Middle East dedicated to producing anti-venom for venomous animals like snakes and scorpions, drawing upon almost 70 years of expertise and innovation. This pioneering work has resulted in the creation of top-tier specialized antisera and anti-venoms that annually save the lives of nearly 14,000 individuals in Iran.
Dr. Es-haghi, the Director General of the Razi Research Vaccine and Serum Institute, has announced that, after successfully exporting medical products and derivatives, the Razi Institute is now laying the foundation for exporting veterinary vaccines to Iraq.

This webinar brought together experts and professionals from the Razi Institute, the European Commission on Foot and Mouth Disease (Eu-FMD), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the Iran Veterinary Organization (IVO).
On Monday, February 26, 2024, Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute hosted a training course for a delegate from Senegal, organized by the Veterinary Organization of Iran under the directive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to foster scientific, technological, and economic partnerships with African countries. It is worth noting that Dr. Mohammad shojaee is assigned as the supervisor of this training program.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari called for holding joint commissions of Iran and African countries with the aim of following up implementation of agreements and growing economic and trade ties.
